Biscuits, sausage, & gravy

(photos coming soon)

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground sausage (I like plain so you can season it however you want)

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup stock (beef or vegetable)

  • 1 cup milk (I like whole milk, most will work)

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tsp cracked red pepper

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 16.3 oz can of refrigerated southern home style biscuits

Instructions:

  1. Begin with preheating the oven and baking biscuits according to instructions.

  2. Cook sausage in large skillet until brown. Season with salt, smoked paprika, pepper, garlic powder, cracked red pepper, and onion powder.

  3. Once there is a good amount of grease from the sausage, add flour. Stir until sausage is well coated with flour.

  4. Add stock, stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Add milk, stir occasionally until mixture has thickened.

  6. Allow biscuits to cool after removing them from oven.

  7. Once cooled, split a biscuit into two pieces and spoon sausage gravy mix into middle.

  8. Enjoy
